Webcast Learning

I was digging around on the Microsoft Events webpage this morning and ran across two sessions that I thought you might find interesting.

First, TechNet Webcast: Thrive Live! (Part 1 of 3) Create a Personal Marketing Plan for Career Success (Level 100) is a 1 hour webcast on Wednesday, July 8th at 9:00 AM Pacific Time:

“Have you been letting employers control your next career step? Are you waiting for someone to present you with the perfect job? Don’t be passive about your professional future. Whether you are employed or in a job transition, you must take charge to get where you want to be. The first step is learning how to view yourself and understand the value you provide to employers. The second step is having a vision of where you are going, while the third is developing effective marketing materials. In this Webcast, we’ll show you how to get where you want to go professionally. You’ll leave with new concepts that can turn a job search into an adventure, plus guidance on how to weave your value and vision into a powerful resume and personal action plan.”

The second event (thanks, Justin at 227volts, for the head’s up on this one) covers changes to Group Policy in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. This hour-long webcast is on Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00 AM Pacific Time. TechNet Webcast: Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 Group Policy Changes (Level 300):

“This session will explore Group Policy enhancements in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. We will show you how Administrative template improvements make it easier to configure and Group Policy preference improvements to configure defaults for non-Group Policy-aware Windows components.  Then we will discuss Starter GPO improvements and scripting Group Policy Objects using Windows Powershell Group Policy cmdlets.”

Happy Learning!
